Brian began his career in 1984 at the Honolulu Branch of Charles Schwab and Co., Inc. He started in operations and customer service. A couple of years later, he worked in the trading department ultimately becoming a Senior Trading Representative. As a Senior Trading Representative, he was responsible in assisting clients with their trading strategies of stocks, mutual funds, options and calculating margin requirements. He also served as the Fixed Income Liaison for the branch, connecting clients to the negotiated bond market. In the mid to late 90’s Brian was active in introducing many of Schwab's new technologies to clients.
In 1999, Brian took a couple of years off to be a full-time Dad to his oldest daughter. In 2002, Schwab recruited him to be a client service rep in their new Kahala Branch in Honolulu.
Brian left Schwab in 2004 to join Lee Financial Group as a Senior Wealth Manager. There he helped private clients manage their investment portfolio. Brian served on the investment committee for the firm and became the primary trader for stocks, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, options and structured products. In 2011, Brian became a co-portfolio manager for the First Pacific Low-Volatility Fund.
